I wanted to create an Old-Hollywood inspired portrait that really gave Letitia's eyes a chance to shine.
I actually used one of my favourite Adler lighting setups for this, which was a snoot to the top right in front of my deep red backdrop to complement her bold red lip.
Wanting to add extra depth, I had Letitia place her hands in various positions in front of her face to create leading lines to her eyes.
I achieved exactly what I wanted with this setup, which essentially was a Niagara (1953) inspired shot, that could have been used for a promotional poster for a film back in the golden age of cinema.
