I was working on a series centered around the theme of music, as I was arranging a shooting with Liz, a lively Brazilian model who is a lot of fun to create with. I love to give models props to work with and Liz was fascinated by the Saxophone. I asked her to express her joy for music and I couldn't have hoped for a better result. The scene was lit with three flashes. The main light had an optical spot as a modifier, shaping the light on her face and the shadow on the wall. Both sides of the scenes were lit with a flash and strip soft boxes with orange gels. The smoke came from a little fog machine, the main challenge here being the coordination between the shooting assistant operating the smoke machine, the model and me.
