This is a portrait of my lovely friend Syd! She'd had gotten this awesome black and white hair done, and was interested in doing a fabulous fashion shoot! She had this gorgeous sparkly dress, and I knew I had just the gloves and glasses to go with it. I wanted it to be glamorous and powerfully feminine. I started with a royal purple on the backdrop. I used the optical spot to carve a clean slice of subtle orange on her as a key light and to add dimension to the backdrop. Lastly I added a blue to compliment the other colors and fill in the shadows. We experimented with some fierce poses, and I opted for a lower perspective to add power. As soon as she lowered the glasses I knew that was it!
