I was inspired to use the techniques of 1930s Hollywood glamour photography to create a low-key alluring image. The model was really into '30s glamour and it shows in her expression. She's wearing a vintage negligee I found for the shoot. I used one light: a Paul C Buff Digibee 800 in a 21 inch white beauty dish (camera right) that was angled to control light falloff. There is a silver reflector to camera left. The white comforter the model is on also provided bounce fill. The relatively hard light sculpts her features and gives her smoky eyes. It also reveals the lovely texture of the negligee. I converted the shot from color to B&W in Photoshop where I also retouched it.
