My inspiration was the amazing paper hat that you see in the image. This paper hat is handmade piece by piece with countless hours of work (just to do the scales at the front is +8h.) I wanted the hat to be the centre piece.

The hat is telling the myth of the Welsh flag: the fight between two dragons under the castle.

To capture the intricate detail of the hat, I knew I wanted to light it from the back and play with the shadows and the silhouette. I used two lights to light the background and a white reflector to bring details in the shadows and create more drama. I love how the light wraps around his body and glows, creating this sense of magical creature!
