There were 5 lights used in this shot. Two bare bulb strobes with orange gels for the cycwall on the background and one blue gelled strobe with a octabox modifier overhead for the blue light on our subject. Then we used an optical spot to created the emphasize of light on their eyes, and for the last light we had a flashlight with a plexiglass blade to make the light painting crown behind them. The main purpose of this shot was to explore the possibilities of using light painting and colored gels together because it's something I rarely see.
