This is a setup I use a lot which consists of a beauty dish key, a fill, two rim lights, and an optical spot for a rear projected background through Translum. This photo was inspired by a pair of 3D glasses that I had lying around, my idea was to create layered colors that kept switching places, one side red, one side blue. The background is a gobo with a gel sheet, I cut small pieces of red and blue, and carefully taped them together on the back of the gobo slide. The rim lights are LED tube lights set to red and blue, but opposite sides from the background. Our model’s hair was already that color red (what luck!), and I added a red bodysuit to match the look, a blue fill is there for another color flip, along with a key light above.
